The hippo is one of world"s majority assertive animals and can kill with one snap of the absolute jaw.

Visitors to the zoo where both animals live were vacant to see the zebra craning the neck in to the mouth of the water-loving mammal.

But their warn increasing when they realised the striped quadruped was cleaning the hippo"s teeth.

The unusual philharmonic was prisoner by Jill Sonsteby, a photographer, at Zurich Zoo, in Switzerland.

The 34-year-old, from Jacksonville, Florida, USA, pronounced "The zebra was in the same enclosing as the hippo and the baby. The hippo non-stop the mouth and let the zebra in there to clean. They literally did that for the twenty of us zoo-goers for about fifteen minutes.

"There was no mistreat finished to the zebra. Everybody was gnawing cinema of the sight. They thought it was unequivocally sweet. It was so good to be there at that moment."

Despite being only five feet tall, the hippo, weighing up to 3 tonnes, is the third largest reptile in the world. Its considerable jaw line line measures dual feet opposite and can be non-stop to 150 degrees.

Its bite-pressure has been totalled at 1,821 pounds sufficient to snap a small vessel in half.

Despite the large frame, the hippo can out run a human on land with speeds of up to nineteen miles per hour over short distances. In water, adult hippos cannot float but propel themselves along at speeds of up to five miles per hour.

Known to be aggressive, the animals are majority antagonistic when safeguarding their young. They frequency kill each alternative but have been obliged for the deaths of hundreds of people in Africa.
